Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions.
- Assist in setting Maintenance standards.
- Coordinate daily maintenance services with Nursing Services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Assist in scheduling work assignments, preparing work schedules, etc. Revising as necessary.
- Submit accident/incident on the shift in which they occurred.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.
- Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in the long-term care facility.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and maintain the appearance of work areas. Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety and proper performance of equipment.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
