Director of Academic Programs and Accountability

MCCPS seeks a dynamic Director of Academic Programs and Accountability to lead and enhance instructional excellence. Reporting to the Head of School, this high-impact role supervises the Directors of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Math, Science, and Humanities. The Director drives academic rigor, strategic oversight, and data-informed decision-making to elevate student achievement. Key Responsibilities: * Instructional Leadership: Oversee curriculum development, instructional best practices, and assessment systems to ensure alignment with state standards and high academic expectations. * Teacher Evaluation & Development: Lead the teacher evaluation process, ensuring a high standard of instruction through clear expectations and targeted professional growth opportunities. * Project-Based Learning (PBL): Support staff in integrating rigorous, engaging PBL experiences across all content areas. * Data & Accountability: Lead data-driven instructional improvements, present academic data to the Board, and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes. * Professional Development: Coach and develop instructional leaders, fostering a collaborative and results-driven school culture. Qualifications: * Master’s Degree in Education, Leadership, or related field. * 7 years of educational leadership experience with a strong track record of improving academic programs. * Expertise in curriculum design, instructional best practices, data analysis, and Project-Based Learning. * Experience leading teacher evaluation processes and providing actionable feedback for continuous improvement. * Ability to inspire and support instructional leaders while maintaining high accountability standards.
