PreK - 3 ABA Teacher, (Summer 2025)**THIS IS A SUMMER POSITION. EMPLOYMENT IS SEASONAL AND TEMPORARY** PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Extended School Year (ESY) offers specialized services to students with disabilities. The decision to provide ESY is made by the IEP Team, who assesses the necessity to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment, ensuring effective progress for the students. The IEP Team also evaluates the level of needs and recommends specific IEP services during ESY based on individual student requirements.
The determination of ESY services is made according to the IEP Team's identification, focusing on the students' individual needs and aligning with the delivery of targeted ESY goals and objectives. REPORTS TO: Position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and ESY Site Coordinator. PROGRAM SCHEDULE: The instructional hours for students are 3 hours per day, 4 days per week, from July 7 to August 7, 2025.RESPONSIBILITIES: Work all 20 days of the programAccurately implement structured and individualized intervention programs (behavior reduction and skill acquisition).Follow and support the development of specific management guidelines for each studentWork as a team member to ensure the delivery of high quality intervention across environmentsMaintain accurate data collection and graphing for each programFacilitate structured peer group activities as appropriateAttend regularly scheduled team meetings for each students programComplete daily documentation of service delivery for each student servedMaintain confidentiality and privacy of all student specific information (as required by HIPPA)Perform other duties and assignments as requested by the Assistant Superintendent of Student ServicesDeliver instruction to prevent significant regression and reduce significant recoupment timeOversee the development of student socio-emotional skills and increase in student efficacy by building skills and competenciesOversee the promotion of student health and wellness Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Support instruction, services and the monitoring of student regression and progressEstablish a safe and welcoming learning environment for students, families and staffManage student information using approved ESY data systems (e.g. attendance, schedules, etc.)Coordinate with related service providers, site coordinator and teachers to ensure appropriate schedules Complete all assignments in a timely fashionFollow ESY protocols and ensuring student and staff safety throughout the program, from arrival to dismissal.Performs other duties as requested by and ESY Program Director or Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.TERMS: Hourly rate of $40.
Payroll will be processed on a biweekly basis after receipt of completed timesheets in accordance with MPS summer payroll schedule.
