POSITION SUMMARY:
Food Service employees are responsible for the preparation and serving of food on a large scale in an efficient and attractive manner. This position includes clean-up of utensils, equipment, food preparation, serving and dining areas. Work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Food Service Manager or assigned administrator. Assigned work locations may be subject to change to meet the needs of the District. A five (5) day notice of the change is required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency diploma.
Experience – Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform school food service work.
Computer Skills – Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as required for the position.
Certificates and/or Licenses – Valid Florida driver’s license and the ability to drive.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Perform cashiering duties. Use of mathematics in handling student and adult accounts and maintaining related records.
- Rigorously adhere to safe sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Responsible for preparation and serving of food, as assigned by manager, following proper meal standards, written standardized recipes, instructions and portion control methods.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of all food service areas, and cafeteria as needed.
- Generally, assist and cross train in all areas necessary for optimum, efficient functioning of the school food service program.
- Attend and participate in meetings and training programs as required.
- Perform related work as assigned.

Pay: $11.65 - $16.15 per hour
