Job Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Account Executive at Marketing Partnerships International. The Account Executive will be responsible for driving quality leads through media planning and buying strategies, developing integrated marketing plans, negotiating with various media outlets, and collaborating with clients to achieve their marketing objectives.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and career-focused with a creative mind and a goal-oriented work ethic. They are responsible for discovering new opportunities through outreach to prospects and developing business relationships.
The Account Executive acts as a link between client(s) and the agency. This person must understand the clients’ needs and objectives and communicate closely with them throughout media campaigns. Account Executives are responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. This includes consistent communication with clients, participation in strategic planning meetings within MPI, making cold calls, attending networking events and conferences, researching potential leads from many sources including billboards, online ads, and streaming and television commercials.
This position reports to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients and media partners locally, regionally and nationally.
- Engage in continuous outreach to new prospects locally, regionally and nationally. This includes cold calling, email outreach, and in-person meetings.
- Be comfortable working with prospects and clients face-to-face (in person and virtual).
- Present media plans and recommendations provided by planners confidently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the MPI team regarding client acquisition and retention by identifying new areas for marketing opportunities in media plans (ex : social media, collaboration, co-op opportunities)
- Scout potential prospects by networking, attending events, and monitoring competition.
- Prioritize client needs, maintain consistent contact with clients and provide Media Planners with all the necessary information to build media campaigns unique to each client.
- Schedule meetings between the client and MPI as necessary.
- Visit clients in-person and attend client-hosted events when applicable.
- Collaborate to optimize budget, resources, strategy for client.
- Promote a positive work culture.
