Job Title : Staff Accountant
Location : Phoenix, Arizona
Position Type : Full-Time, Exempt
Job Summary : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with four years of accounting experience to join our accounting / finance team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, variance analysis, and the preparation of balance sheets and income statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent time management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. This position will report to our Controller. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts.
- Research and correct account discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain differences between actual and budgeted figures.
Qualifications :
Salary Range : $58,000-$90,000 depending on experience and skills
