Position Summary:

The Recharge Suppression Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the recharge team, ensuring the proper maintenance, testing, and transportation of fire extinguishers and system cylinders. This role includes managing inventory, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess troubleshooting skills, an understanding of industry codes and regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Core Responsibilities:

• Supervise the recharge team and ensure efficient day-to-day operations, including the maintenance, testing, and servicing of fire extinguishers and system cylinders.
• Oversee inventory counts, maintain appropriate stock levels of recharge inventory, and ensure all items are properly recorded and organized.
• Ensure the facility and tools are well-organized and clean, following safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Receive and process incoming freight, operate forklifts as needed, and assist with stocking and organizing the warehouse.
• Assist walk-in customers with fire extinguisher services and other needs, maintaining a professional and customer-focused environment.
• Transport items in and out of trucks, and coordinate the routing of extinguishers and system cylinders to and from other branch locations.
• Maintain and service all equipment and tools necessary for safely performing job functions.
• Travel locally up to 40% of the time to support branch operations and facilitate the transportation of equipment and materials between locations.
• Adhere to company safety policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry codes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, including power tools, ladders, and machinery.
• Familiarity with principles, practices, codes, and regulations relevant to fire suppression work.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions effectively and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry toolboxes, equipment, and parts.
• Regular physical activities such as ladder climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and overhead hand-raising.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet business goals.
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of employees and work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Adheres to the company’s Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policy.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in fire suppression systems, facility management, or related industry operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of specific safety standards, advanced troubleshooting techniques, and process optimization is a plus.
• Relevant technical certifications or industry training related to fire suppression systems or inventory management is desirable.
