Are you an experienced Cost Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or Preconstruction Analyst looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a Project Estimator who can independently organize estimating activities for specific construction projects, focusing on both estimating and preconstruction tasks. Do you enjoy building relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team!
In this role, you will be reviewing and analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documents. Can you prioritize and organize deadlines for bids? You will also be developing project general conditions and collaborating with the Chief Estimator or Director of Preconstruction. Are you ready to determine vendors and subcontractors for projects? Additionally, you will be setting up and attending pre-bid walk-throughs and identifying all bid items. Do you have experience developing invitations to bid and completing bid forms?
We are looking for an energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards. Do you have sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment? Can you relate to people at all levels of an organization and communicate effectively? Do you have civil experience?
As a Project Estimator, you will handle various specific duties. Can you determine the appropriate bid divisions and distribute project bid documents? Are you skilled at reviewing plans and specifications, following up with subcontractors, and preparing detailed summaries of work? Can you update and finalize the Bid Book, perform contract reviews, and facilitate handoff meetings?
To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Are you familiar with the construction industry, building codes, laws, and regulations? Do you have at least 3 years of estimating experience in both competitive bid projects and conceptual budgeting? Are you strong in interpersonal communication, organization, and analytical skills? Are you proficient in group/public speaking, coaching, and mentoring?
