Marquis Property Company, LTD, is a commercial and residential real estate development & management firm. We have an immediate opening for a bookkeeper/administrative assistant. We are looking for a dependable and responsible person with a positive attitude to fill this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a bookkeeper/administrative assistant.
Responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping for all properties and Management Company, as well as assisting the Managing Director with day-to-day business activities This position reports directly to the Managing Director.
DUTIES:
· Review and post tenant billings, additional billings/adjustments according to information received
· Monitor, track and enter accounts payable invoices into accounting system ensuring correct coding
· Responsible for accounts receivable, including bank deposits, cash receipts and input, posting monthly rent charges, generating monthly tenant statements, and monitoring receivable balances.
· Performs cash management for all properties (bank reconciliations, cash balances, etc)
· Assist with the preparation of tax work papers for annual tax returns and 1099 processing.
· Review Aged Receivables with property management for accuracy and assists with tenant rent collection efforts. Interacts with tenants to reconcile payments
· Reconcile Credit Card accounts
· Process annual business license renewals and payments.
- Data entry, filing, document scanning.
- Compiling correspondence and organizing business files
- Assist with various projects related to property management and real estate development.

REQUIREMENTS:
· 3 years office experience (office, retail)
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
· Willingness to remain flexible with job responsibilities & be a Jack/Jill of all trades.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Yardi Voyager knowledge helpful, but not required
· Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
· 2 years Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
· Must be able to work successfully in a small team environment. Sometimes working independently.
Education: BA (Preferred)
