The Marriott Orlando Downtown hotel is seeking a Part-time experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position is part-time and will be an hourly role. This role is 100% on-site, no remote work.

The human resources generalist will have administrative and strategic responsibilities and manage important functions such as staffing, payroll & benefits administration, training and development, labor relations compliance, and benefits.

Job Responsibilities:
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.
- Monitor and assign brand standards and other hotel-related training.
- Provide onboarding for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining document signatures.
- Maintain human resources records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
- Assist in Administering employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.
- Document and track human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Accomplish human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- With HR Manager, ensures compliance with labor regulations.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proven experience in Human Resources
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g., ADP & Talent Acquisition software) will be a plus
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
- Flexibility
- Presentation skills
- Administrative writing and reporting skills
- Additional HR training (e.g., SHRM-CP) will be a plus
Education and Experience Requirements:
- AAS degree and work equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years in an HR office.
This position pays between $20.00 and $25.00 an hour dependent on experience.
