Solar Interconnection Specialist:

This is a fully on-site position that requires you to report to the office.
Job Summary:
The main duty of an Interconnection Specialist involves submitting interconnection applications to the Utility Company and ensuring the process is followed through to Permission to Operate (PTO). This role requires regular email communication with Utility Interconnection Teams and involves utilities such as SCE, PGE, SDGE, LADWP, RPU, SMUD, IID, among others.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure that all required documents are complete and accurate for submission to utility interconnection, including:
- Electrical Single Line Diagram -Site Plan -Parcel Maps -Authorization Forms -Leases; as needed for aggregation
- Follow the application through to PTO, including all correspondence with Utility
- Make corrections to application or plans as needed for Utility approval
- Weekly reporting of Interconnection Application status on all jobs in process
- Manage timelines with customers, Utility and construction teams
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills
- Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with solar interconnections
- Some travel required- work vehicle provided
Minimum requirements of consideration:
- Utility Interconnection Experience (2 years)
- Clean DMV
- Clean criminal record
- Willingness and ability to pass an initial drug test, and to submit to ongoing random drug testing per company policy
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Able to work 40 hrs. per week
