The Account Analyst works within a team structure and reports to the Account Manager. The Account Analyst's primary responsibility is to handle the annual account renewal process and deliver value-added service to our clients.
JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate the renewal process with the team.
- Independently analyzes and interprets policy coverages and endorsements.
- Exercises independent discretion and judgment in the analysis and identification of coverage issues and corrections for policies and endorsements and drafts related communications to insureds detailing coverage issues and pending corrections.
- Participates in negotiations to include reviewing quotes.
- Finalize account income forms.
- Conduct contract reviews, including but not limited to analyzing insurance requirements in light of existing coverage, developing bid rates, reviewing indemnification agreements in the preparation of contract review letters.
- Exercises independent discretion and judgment in interpreting loss runs and preparing / updating loss summaries.
- Processing and dictating money and non-money endorsements and audits.
- Maintaining pendings by following-up on the issuance of policies and endorsements.
- Preparing the Request for Renewal Information Letter.
- Updating working exposures schedules.
- Projecting Experience Modification Factors (mod) and reviewing rating calculations.
- Identifying classification codes and rates and verifying policy rating. Coordinating the issuance of Certificates of Insurance, reviewing the requested wording and understanding the impact of additional insured and primary / non-contributory wording.
- Developing loss sensitive rating exhibits and charts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance company underwriters and client contacts.
- Responsible for all billing activities in the unit including :
- Invoicing new business, renewals and money endorsements / audits.
- Coordinating installment billing.
- Correcting billing differences with insurance companies.
- Obtaining premium financing quotes and completing financing agreements.
- Creating reports for clients, underwriters, internal teams as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
