Key responsibilities include analyzing current processes to identify inefficiencies, leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance workflow effectiveness, implementing best practices for resource allocation, and leveraging data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive productivity and process improvement strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead initiatives that optimize payroll, labor management, and workforce planning to maximize operational efficiency and control costs.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence by promoting continuous improvement initiatives across all levels of the organization.
- Partner with senior leadership to align process optimization projects with long-term business growth and workforce strategies.
Payroll and Labor Management:
- Oversee labor standards, ensuring alignment with payroll budgets, sales forecasts, and productivity benchmarks.
- Monitor and manage labor cost metrics, such as labor-to-sales ratios, overtime usage, and compliance with labor laws.
- Implement workforce management systems and tools to improve scheduling, forecasting, and payroll accuracy.
- Collaborate with field leadership to provide resources and training on efficient labor planning and payroll management.
Workforce Planning:
- Design and implement workforce planning strategies that balance labor efficiency with employee engagement and retention.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure workforce plans align with recruitment, training, and development programs.
- Develop flexible labor models that address seasonal trends, business cycles, and evolving customer demands.
- Conduct scenario planning to prepare for shifts in labor needs due to new store openings, remodels, or process changes.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Lead efforts to analyze, redesign, and standardize operational processes across all retail locations.
- Identify inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve workflows, reduce costs, and enhance store operations.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to implement continuous improvement frameworks.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across all business units.
Data-Driven Insights:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity, labor efficiency, payroll accuracy, and process improvements.
- Use data analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization in labor allocation and resource management.
- Collaborate with IT and data analytics teams to develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time insights.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale projects, including new system implementations, technology upgrades, and process redesigns.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, outcomes, and challenges.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Work closely with Operations, HR, Finance, and IT teams to identify opportunities for cross-functional efficiencies.
- Support field teams with tools, resources, and best practices for labor management and operational productivity.
- Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain teams to improve end-to-end operational processes.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing Productivity & Process team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture to achieve measurable improvements in productivity.
