- Work week is 37.5 hrs.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership in all aspects of collection development for both print and
- Contribute innovative ideas and make strategic decisions based on academic
- Investigate emerging trends in collection initiatives and incorporate them into
- Recommend and order materials, using reviews and research to make informed
- Coordinate trials for new electronic resources in collaboration with other library
- Work closely with the University Libraries Business Manager on budget
- Contribute to accreditation/program review and statistical reports.
- Serve as a contact for vendors and publishers, establishing and maintaining
- Coordinate the management of gift materials.
- Oversee the organization and weeding of the collection.
- Participate in campus and university committees.
Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Master’s in Library Science from a library school accredited by the American Library Association.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2-5 years of full-time professional experience in collection development/acquisitions within an academic library.
- Demonstrated experience with integrated library systems and electronic resource management.
- A strong commitment to public and customer service.
- The ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good information literacy and information technology skills
Education
- A second Master’s degree.
- Experience working with major library vendors and publishers, including the negotiation of license agreements.
- Experience working with major library vendors and publishers.
- Experience with the accreditation process for academic programs and institutions.
- Experience with Innovative Interfaces Sierra or similar systems.
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience.
