Marshall University’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) is accepting resumes for a Workforce Recruiter & Student Support Specialist. MAMC proudly serves more than 300 companies per year and trains nearly 1,000 people per year. Our rapidly growing academic programs are in need of additional support.
This position will provide overall regional (WV and contiguous states) outreach to industrial clients and student recruiting; developing local, regional and national recruiting strategies and resources as well as developing new and creative recruitment and marketing ideas; attaining annual enrollment levels established by MAMC; working to enhance the identity of MAMC and its mission of providing industry-focused technical assistance and customized training to manufacturers and entrepreneurs; serving as a college liaison, maintaining records, and providing student support services for students enrolled in career skills programs through our close college partnerships. Travel is required
Salary ranges with commensurate education and experience starting at $40,000.
Location OTHR - Other Off-Campus Location Salary Range Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Required Qualifications
Education
Associate degree in related field is required. Student recruiting and marketing experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Experience
Candidate must have the ability to travel, coordinate events, make large and small group presentations, work with corporate executives, as well as work one-on-one with individuals; and work individually or as part of the statewide MAMC team. Candidate must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook, and how to use audiovisual equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience
Student recruiting, admissions or financial aid experience preferred.
