We are seeking an Assistant Supervisor to support our Magnesium Department at Armstrong Avenue.

2nd Shift: Standard work week is Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm; overtime work may require the shift to start early or end late or occasional weekend work

Responsibilities:

This position will require the successful candidate to setup and operate various pieces of equipment while performing quality checks and running production rates to preset standards. This position also requires:

• Ensure all safety aspects of the jobs are being followed by employees.
• Setup and operate HAAS CNC Mills.
• Setup and operate Hawk Cell and Bull Float Cell equipment.
• Setup and operate Clausing Drills.
• Perform basic adjustments to keep powder coat system running.
• Operate powered industrial equipment to move product and materials in an efficient and safe manner.
• Accurately enter data into computer system to track material movements and location.
• Have the ability to train and cross train other employees.
• Perform quality checks.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have good oral and written communication skills.  Must have good math skills.
• Needs good decision making and problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail while operating safely is a must.
• Must have ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Must be able to successfully be MARSHALLTOWN PIT certified, to include test and complete forklift certification.
• CNC machinery operation experience is required, 2-4 years strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years Leadership experience, strongly preferred.
• Computer proficiency using handheld scanners and keyboards
