MARSHALLTOWN is seeking a Project Manager to join its Facilities Management team in Marshalltown, IA. Were looking for a candidate with prior construction/contractor experience and good general knowledge of building & facility systems maintenance. This position will help quote and coordinate expansion & remodel projects at both our Marshalltown, IA and Bushnell, IL sites. This position will report to the Corporate Facilities Director.
What you will do as a Facilities Project Manager:
- Make safety the department's #1 priority.
- Manage small building maintenance projects; painting, drywall repair, mechanical/plumbing repairs
- Ensures preventive maintenance is scheduled and conducted at all building facilities.
- Respond to all facility inquiries and complaints, verify problems and take the necessary corrective action
- May assist with planning, direction, participation, and supervision of both preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in the facility, which includes painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical work.
- Coordinate routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors for MARSHALLTOWN Facilities
- Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions including coordination of snow removal and lawn care in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for the service and repairs of building and systems.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related field with 2-4 years of experience, or 5 years of construction/on the job experience.
- Exceptional communication skills for all levels of the organization.
- General knowledge of MEP, controls, fire alarms, sprinklers, card access, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Facilities Management Software.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively.
- Proven decision-making skills, ensuring timely updates on changes impacting timelines and budgets.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Candidates must possess a valid drivers license.
