SUMMARY
Provides support to the Human Resources Director, through assistance in recruitment, benefit, and training functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains employee records such as personal data, compensation and benefits information, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations, driver's license information and termination date and reason.
- Serves as a backup for payroll functions and must be comfortable in navigating payroll systems
- Writes job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others.
- Assists with recruiting efforts by processing employment applications, pre-screening applicants, and scheduling interviews.
- Assists in benefit activities by notifying health plan, and 401(k) administrators of new enrollments and terminations.
- Investigates and files reports of accidents and injuries for Workers' Compensation.
- Coordinates the Attendance Award Program and the Accident Prevention Program.
- Administers new hire orientation.
- Oversees the fleet safety program, administering monthly trainings.
- In the absence of Customer Service Representative, provides telephone customer service to customers by taking customer complaints and processing donations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree from college or university and;
- Three to five years related experience and/or training or;
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
