What are the responsibilities and job description for the Irvine Store Receiving Department Lead/Assistant Department Lead position at Marukai Corporation?
Tokyo Central is excited to announce our new Irvine location opening mid 2025. We are hiring leads now, with training to take place at one of our other SoCal locations until the new store is ready to be occupied.
The receiving department lead must have supervisory experience in a warehouse environment. Forklift license required. Strong computer and communication skills required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
• Coordinate store backhouse/warehouse layouts to maximize inventory space, facility, and process flow.
• Proactively communicate with store management team for the orders and shipment planning.
• Receive and check incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Coordinate incoming materials with receiving inspection and perform required documentation.
• Log in shipments, complete all required documentation
• Ensure that all shipping documents are accurate and up to date.
• Report any significant maintenance concerns from warehouse, loading area, or loading equipment to management in a timely manner.
• Assist store managers with any ad hoc related tasks
• Plan, communicate, and monitor employee work schedules, and ensure team members work efficiency and taking rests properly.
• Follow the employee handbook at all times, especially on service standards and appearance.
• At all times, meets and exceeds Tokyo Central store standards in service, quality, and cleanliness.
