Position Summary:

The Administration team at Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking an Administration Intern for the summer 2025 semester. The Administration Intern will work with Mary Greeley Medical Center's administration team as well as other departments to assist in quality, finance, nursing, and executive level initiatives at the hospital. The intern will assist with a variety of administrative and medical staff office duties and also have the opportunity to job shadow different administrative positions throughout the hospital. The intern will provide non-clinical support and complete project work at MGMC to gain perspective of operations with the goal of future work in a healthcare administration, data analytics, or a quality role.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborates with multiple departments throughout the organization to assist with hospital initiatives.

Works alongside MGMC Executive Team to understand healthcare administration and clerical practices.

Assist the Medical Staff Office with Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), Grand Rounds, and new provider orientation.
- Accepts other responsibilities as necessary to meet organizational mission and goals.
- Attend medical staff meetings, board committee meetings, and other standing meetings while maintaining confidentiality.

Assist with scheduling and coordination of administrative meetings and events.

Participate in Mary Greeley internship events (presentations, education, outreach, etc).

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
-
Current 2-year or 4-year college student majoring in business, management, healthcare administration, or related field of study.
- Can work independently and collaborate with others.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft products.
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and has the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
- Excellent, professional communication skills.
