Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a professional Emergency Management Intern to join the Emergency Management Team in the Mobile Intensive Care Service (MICS) department for the summer 2025 semester. This internship offers hands-on experience in emergency management within a hospital setting, emphasizing public health and public policy. Interns will engage in developing and implementing emergency preparedness plans, planning and facilitating meetings and workshops, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance community resilience.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and implements emergency preparedness plans.

Conducts risk assessments and coordinates emergency drills and trainings.

Prepares reports and documentation related to emergency preparedness and management.

Participate in Mary Greeley internship events (presentations, education, outreach, etc.)

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
-
Undergraduate or graduate student in good standing majoring in healthcare administration, emergency management, public health, social sciences, sociology, public policy, political science, sustainability, agriculture and society, or other relevant major.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Systems thinking and critical thinking skills.
- Committment to continuous improving and training.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as word, excel, outlook, teams, etc.
- Previous internship experience preferred.
