Job Description :
Maryland Environmental Service's Technical and Environmental Services (TES) Group has an opening for a Senior Lead Operations Manager at the BWI Marshall Airport field office working in a dynamic role providing leadership for this operations section. Responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and directing the daily functions of this field office. This includes on-site management of staff, agreements, procurements, budget development and oversight, operations and maintenance of facilities and equipment / vehicles, personnel management, safety, and other duties as assigned. This position will act as liaison between MES Headquarters staff in Millersville, Maryland and the site, and will frequently interact with environmental, maintenance, and operations staff on site, clients, contractors, vendors, and state agency project representatives.
This field office is a designated emergency essential facility, and therefore the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions may be required. Must have a valid driver's license with less than five (5) points, the ability to lift 50lbs and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. This position requires the ability to obtain Homeland Security Clearance.
Estimated Pay Range :
85,568.63 - $117,656.87

Minimum Requirements :
Minimum qualifications include graduation from a standard high school or GED plus 11 years of applicable experience and 8 years of supervisory experience in field operations, environmental compliance, maintenance, or construction activities.
The preferred candidate will have experience with airport environmental compliance, recycling, and maintenance operations, various statewide maintenance operations, demonstrated strong leadership, verbal, budget and contract management skills. Must have the ability to independently work to provide oversight, planning and financial management support on a wide range of maintenance and environmental projects supporting numerous programs. A well-qualified candidate will have experience in formulating, establishing and overseeing the management and organization of multiple service agreements, technical information and reports, and the ability to participate in team organization, development and coordination with a wide variety of stakeholders for success of the section's programs.
