Position Overview:

As a Server/Bartender at Mash'd, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and enhancing our guests’ dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your goal is to exceed guest expectations through proactive service and mutual accountability with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly with a warm smile and engage in genuine conversation. Ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring every detail is noted. Use our order system (Toast) to manage and ring in orders efficiently.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, maintaining proper food and drink placement. Anticipate guest needs by providing preemptive service (e.g., refills, extra condiments).
• Keep tables clean and organized throughout the service. Clear empty plates and glasses promptly.
• Craft and serve a range of handcrafted cocktails and beverages while ensuring accurate measurements and presentation.
• Be well-versed in our menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods. Make recommendations and provide details to guests regarding food allergens.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service. Offer assistance to fellow servers and bartenders as needed.
• Present the check in a timely manner and process payments efficiently, ensuring a seamless checkout experience for guests.

Expectations:

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization, especially in the bar and dining areas.
• Demonstrate a commitment to mutual accountability by proactively helping team members and addressing any red flags.
• Adhere to our service standards until the guest leaves the building, ensuring their experience is nothing short of fantastic.
• Maintain open and clear communication with team members and management to ensure smooth service, address guests need proactively and support a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a server or bartender in an upscale casual environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food and beverage pairings is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve and 21 years old to bartend. Must be food handlers and TABC certified.
