The business office manager is responsible for the front desk, family billing, accounts payable, managing employee files, completing facility payroll on a bi-weekly basis, and HR-related duties working closely with senior leadership and department managers in the community. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The business office manager must be sensitive to employee goodwill as well as community and overall business needs.

- Acts as an employee relations specialist and resolves employee relations issues promptly, professionally, and appropriately. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Assists with recruitment tasks as needed including orientation, collecting and approving new hire documents and other assignments.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department, community and services performed.
- Manage employee leave process (FMLA, Short Term Disability, and personal leave of absence) and Workers’ Compensation cases.
- Maintains personnel files and human resource information system records and compiles reports.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data. Uses automated systems to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related and to ensure effective support and auditing.
- Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
- Prepares and administers private pay billing for each student.
- Enters accounts payables in the system accurately and timely.
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Acts as liaison between community and corporate accounts payable department.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

- College degree or relevant experience
- Experience including payroll and resolving employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technology related to payroll and accounts payable.
