Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary :
The idealcandidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have adesire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, non-unit position withno benefits.
Working inclose collaboration with the staff, this important position will provideadministrative support in a busy and thriving student services department onthe Framingham campus.
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
- Serve as primary contact for Student Development on the Framingham campus and help direct students, faculty, and staff to appropriate college offices and services;
- Assist with the coordination of Student Development sponsored activities, programs, and events;
- Perform clerical duties such as composing and editing correspondence, reports, contracts, spreadsheets, and charts;
- Perform routine office related tasks such as ordering supplies, answering phones, scheduling meetings, greeting visitors, and providing assistance or making referrals to appropriate staff;
- Process paperwork and documentation (i.e. student immunization records, childcare reimbursement, room reservations, data entry);
- Problem solve in a fast-paced work environment;
- Coordinate and maintain Student Development Office Calendars;
- Attend staff meetings on Wellesley Hills campus, virtually, if necessary;
- Provide solid customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests;
- Exercise good judgment;
- Must work both autonomously and in a team setting;
- Monitor and maintain appropriate display cases / bulletin boards for Framingham Campus;
- Provide support for basic needs initiatives;
- Monitor the Student Development email; respond to inquiries, process forms, schedule appointments, and connect individuals with the appropriate staff member or office to answer their questions and concerns;
- Participate in staff, divisional, and college committee meetings;
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time,or equivalent part-time, experience in office management, officeadministration, business administrative or business management, the majorduties of which included one or more of the following functions; purchasing,personnel management, budgeting, accounting, records management, worksimplification, grants management, contract administration or programmanagement, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience andthe substitutions below.
Substitutions :
An Associate's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.
An Associate's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
