The Opportunity
The IT Configuration Management Analyst role will play a critical part in supporting IT Service management and ensuring the availability and integrity of IT assets. As an IT Configuration Management Analyst, you will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of Configuration Management Process and standards as well as KPI development. The IT Configuration Management Analyst will ensure configuration items (Cis) are accurately and completely recorded and maintained in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and validation processes are in place and maintained.

The IT Configuration Management Analyst role will play a critical part in supporting IT Service management and ensuring the availability and integrity of IT assets. The IT Configuration Management Analyst will ensure configuration items (Cis) are accurately and completely recorded and maintained in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and validation processes are in place and maintained.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, Develop, execute and maintain the Configuration Management vision and strategy for the Enterprise
- Drives the creation and execution of ITSM CSDM (Common Services Data Model) practices and hierarchies to provide data on service dependencies
- Create, develop and communicate configuration management standards, processes, policies, and procedures and apply continuous process improvements
- Create, develop and maintain the technical design of the CMDB to meet the current and anticipated requirements
- Accountable for the maintenance of data integrity of CMDB and to effectively support other ITSM processes such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management
- Drives the identification of technical deficiencies in CMDB, conduct data quality analysis in keeping orphan CI’s and duplication to a minimum
- Create, design, execute, and socialize CMDB reports and dashboards showcasing overall health of the CMDB and the IT Assets
- Monitor the health of CMDB and facilitate configuration audits on a regular basis, identifying CI’s with incorrect or outdated information, and coordinating with CI owners, and IT support teams to remediate data inaccuracies
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to strategically leverage the CMDB for new capabilities, integration interfaces with other applications and value creation
- Possesses a deep understanding of ITIL IT Service Management processes (e.g., Configuration, Incident, Problem and Change Management, etc.)
- Proven track record in the CMDB space.
- Robust background tied to Asset and CMDB processes and data governance.
- Experience with CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Performance Analytics
- General understanding of the ServiceNow Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
- 2 years of experience in the use of KPIs and other methodologies to identify problems, track trends and drive behavior.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint
- Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ITIL Certification Foundations v.4
- 3 years hands on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Knowledge of application architecture and service delivery modeling
