Job Summary:
Elite Spice, a leading spice importer and manufacturer, is looking for a skilled problem solver to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. We need an enthusiastic individual who can professionally address various types of customer service issues with respect towards our customers and his or her co-workers. We are a constantly growing company and are looking for an individual who is interested in learning about our company and the spice industry and is willing and able to learn and grow professionally and personally along with us.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls or emails regarding order placing or questions concerning existing orders and invoices.
- Always strive to establish a positive rapport with every caller including long standing customers as well as new customers.
- Communicate with other departments to coordinate and follow order progress from order entry to shipment.
- Promptly follow up with customers concerning questions and concerns including customer orders, invoices, product inquiries, pricing, contracts, shipping arrangements and shipment tracking.
- Update customer information in the customer database and in Excel spreadsheets as needed.
- Communicate on a daily basis with Elite Spice salespeople concerning specific customer accounts.
- Provide backup to other Customer Service team members when needed.
- Possesses a willingness to adapt quickly to evolving changes in duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Must have a friendly and positive attitude towards one's work and towards co-workers, and the initiative to keep learning and improving oneself.
- Must possess previous Customer Service experience. (2 years or more preferred)
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Must be punctual and able to work specified hours as assigned by management. (8:00AM to 4:30PM or 8:30AM to 5:00PM)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic math skills, Microsoft office skills, ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and data entry.
Salary : $20 - $22
