Job Description:
Masters is seeking an energetic individual to work full-time as a Precast Laborer at our Kingsley location. The successful applicant will work as part of the existing precast concrete team. The precast concrete laborer’s primary duties include all activities related to preparing forms for concrete placement, pouring fresh concrete and housekeeping. This individual will work to ensure the safe and efficient production of precast concrete products, while providing the best customer service, maintaining excellent quality control, and the safe and professional operation of all tools and equipment. The candidate must work well independently and with teams in a professional manner that aligns with Masters core values.
Job Type: Full-Time; hourly with overtime
Skills/Experience Desired:
- Reliable and strong attention to details.
- Basic math ability.
- Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs. several times daily.
- Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, squat, bend, reach, grasp, lift, load, push, pull throughout the day.
- Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Work an average of 45-50 hours per week
- Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years old
- One year of construction or masonry experience preferred, but not required.
- Pass a preemployment drug test.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Follow all required work safe practices, this would include, wearing required PPE in designated areas
- Production of precast concrete products: cleaning and oiling forms, placement of steel reinforcement, pouring and finishing concrete, packaging, yarding, and loading product.
- Pre and post inspection of products and forms.
- Setting up forms for custom precast products following blueprints.
- Safe operation of forklifts, skid steers, and overhead cranes
