Your Role as Plant Manager
You’ll take charge of plant operations, lead production staff, and ensure smooth maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards. Reporting directly to senior management, you’ll guide a team of key personnel, including Group Leads, Supervisors, Supply Chain Managers, Master Schedulers, and Maintenance Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and achieve production goals, eliminate backorders, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Drive efficiency in labor, materials, and overhead costs to hit financial targets.
- Optimize scheduling with the Master Scheduler to meet production goals.
- Participate in critical meetings, including weekly customer project reviews and monthly P&L reviews.
- Collaborate with departments like Engineering, Quality, and Shipping to achieve company objectives.
- Develop backups for key roles to ensure continuity and reduce turnover impacts.
- Partner with the Quality Manager to minimize defective parts and maintain product standards.
- Train and enhance staff expertise in core competencies like routing, forming, coating, and machining.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
- Experience: 7-10 years in thermoforming and/or injection molding, including supervisory or management roles.
- Proven expertise in Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with processes like 3/5-axis routing, optical hard coating, laser cutting, welding, and more.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $169,000.00 per year
