Machine Shop Foreman

A manufacturing company in South Milwaukee, WI is looking for a Machine Shop Foreman to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!

Responsibilities of the Machine Shop Foreman

Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the machining shop, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met
Supervise and lead a team of 12-15 machinists, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Perform and oversee CNC mill setups for a variety of parts and products, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and efficiency
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance
Provide training and mentorship to shop employees, developing their technical skills and understanding of machine operations
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational issues with machinery or tooling

Requirements of the Machine Shop Foreman

10-15 years of machining experience, with at least 3-5 years in a lead or supervisory role

Extensive experience with CNC milling setups and operations, including daily setups of various parts

Strong understanding of tooling, machine calibration, and technical specifications

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions

Experience with turning and milling operations is preferred

Knowledge of GibbsCAM software and Fanuc controls is a plus, but not required

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine and tooling issues

1st shift, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $75,000 - $90,000 yearly, based on experience
