Role: Project Manager – Asset Management
Duration: 6 Months (Contract) W2
Location: Tualatin, OR (Hybrid)


Work Schedule: 2 days (Mon, Fri) Remote; 3 days (Tue, Wed, Thurs) in office

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Asset Management to join our team, focusing on project management, deal flow, and process improvement. This role involves interpreting contracts, understanding how contract terms impact deal flows, and ensuring seamless integration into operational processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, project management experience, and a passion for working in a collaborative, dynamic environment.

Team and Work Environment:
Team Size: 10 staff members in a hybrid work environment; team meets on-site one day a week.

Interaction: Minimal oversight from the hiring manager but high interaction with the team and key partners.
A Day in the Life:
Facilitate project meetings, ensuring the timely completion of deliverables.
Monitor deal flow and interpret contract language to ensure smooth integration into operational processes.
Lead the development of processes and workflows to improve efficiency.
Analyze data and metrics to support project and business decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Top Priorities for the First Few Months:
Familiarizing yourself with the company’s systems, deal modeling, and contract intricacies.
Supporting organizational efforts by streamlining processes and improving deal flow integration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage moderately complex projects aligned with resource strategy, defining scope, deliverables, and timelines while adapting to changes. Develop and implement project plans, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure project success. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Deal Flow & Contract Management: Monitor contract flow and ensure seamless integration of new contracts into operational processes. Interpret contract terms and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Planning and Strategy: Provide data and analytics to support the development of company strategies. Make strategic recommendations and adapt plans in response to changing business conditions. Align metrics with strategic objectives and prioritize resource-strategy projects.
  • Research and Analysis: Collaborate with business, regional, and industry contacts to gather and analyze data to support strategy development. Use models and simulations to inform decision-making, develop reports, identify risks, and offer actionable recommendations.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reconcile trade-offs in supply, demand, and capacity, and ensure consistency across processes. Document and update processes as needed.
  • Systems Utilization: Utilize tools such as Oracle ERP, Coupa, Endur, MS Office Suite, Visio, Smartsheet, and Jira for effective project management, process tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key partners in structuring/origination, Power operations, and Risk management to ensure project success and alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Utilities Experience: Not required, but a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data and metrics.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and managing projects.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to support decision-making.
  • Nice to have familiarity with similar systems (e.g., Oracle ERP, Coupa, Endur).
  • Nice to have experience in Asset Management.
  • Nice to have background in accounting or finance.
     
Education & Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field; or equivalent experience in Asset Management or Portfolio Management. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus (but not a requirement)

Experience:
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in project management or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of contract interpretation and deal flow management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Coupa, Endur) and project management tools (Visio, Smartsheet, Jira).
  • Experience in asset management, risk management, or accounting is highly desirable.
