MAX Aerostructures supplies the aircraft industry with parts from small to large! MAX Aerostructures is looking to add a CMM Operator/Inspector to our team on 2nd shift!
The CMM Operator/ Inspector shall provide support in the areas of CMM operations, first part inspection and final inspection duties. The candidate will utilize the CMM/FARO arm to ensure overall dimensional quality of the product meets the requirements of our customers. The candidate shall contribute to the development and continuous improvement of all quality processes and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Inspection of product using the fixed CMM, FARO Arm and Scanner.
- Utilize PC-DMIS CAD /Verisurf with scanner experience preferred.
- Programming within PC-DMIS and making edits to existing programs.
- First Part Inspections using surface plates, hand tools/micrometers, height gauges, comparators, etc.
- Assist with final inspection of product including hardness and conductivity inspection.
- Help with the dimensional captures to be used for First Article Inspection per AS9102
- Participate on problem solving teams to support RCCA activities
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- CMM Operations-minimum of 2 years experience. PC DMIS and/or Verisurf
- Inspection of Aerospace Components-minimum of 3 years experience
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). May have contact with customers and auditors, in addition to working with others in the organization.
- Must have experience with inspection procedures & processes compliant to AS9100.
- Ability to work successfully under pressure of tight timelines and frequent changes to a heavy workload
- Read and understand blueprints, strong working knowledge of GD&T required
- Computer skills required (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- CAD knowledge, preferred
- Must display a good attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to get along with others
