Job purpose
Digital Print Operator is responsible for operating and troubleshooting digital print equipment. Ensure a high level of productivity and quality while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.
Duties and responsibilities
DIGITAL PRINT OPERATOR
- Program and prepare jobs for printing
- Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests
- Setup, program, and release jobs from print queue
- Adjust image position, color quality and resolution
- Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality
- Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, rollers, substrate, and other items as needed
- Maintain inventory levels
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret documents to include job tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and diagrams
- Must be quality and time conscious
- Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient and able to follow directions
- Perform any other duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Printing/manufacturing background required
- Trade school and/or manufacturing certifications a plus
- Knowledge of RFID technology and label printing is a plus.
- Requires excellent knowledge of digital print and/or ink jet equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures, and a corresponding level of skill to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment
- Able to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment, and in addition, diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships with team, superiors and external partners
- Demonstrate proactive and creative approaches to problem-solving
- Ability to present the highest degree of professionalism at all times
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Working conditions/travel
This position is an In-Factory working position.
Hours
This is a 2nd Shift hourly Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. In addition to the hourly pay rate a shift differential will be included for 2nd shift.
