Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our financial records, ensuring timely processing of payments, cancellation requests, and reconciling invoices. Duties
- Payment Processing: Review, validate, and process payments related to claims in a timely and accurate manner
- Policy Refunds: Calculate and issue refunds for cancellation requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulations.
- Reconciliation and Reporting: Manage claim submissions and cancellations, including discrepancy reporting and reconciliation.
- Vendor and Contract Holder Communication: Coordinate with dealers, vendors, and contract holders, as well as internal departments, to research and resolve payment-related inquiries.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all transactions are aligned with company policies, industry regulations, and audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable functions.
- Other projects and Ad Hoc reporting duties, as assigned.
Experience
- 2 years of proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Salesforce, QuickBooks, Microsoft, or other accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills while maintaining a high level of accuracy are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills with vendors, internal teams, and leadership.
