Accounting Manager
POSITION PURPOSE :
To provide MMS clients with the most accurate and timely financial reports, along with support
and to make recommendations to help manage communities more effectively. Supervise, train
and coach the bookkeepers and provide expert knowledge to improve their competence. Seek
efficiencies and improved methodologies to reduce expenses thereby increasing the overall
profitability of MMS. Maintain timely lines of communication between Property Managers,
association board members and accounting staff. Ensure company policy and GAAP accounting
practices are being followed.
As a Manager of MAY Management, the incumbent is also expected to have a “corporate view”
and have a concern for what is right for the corporation; i.e., a shared view with the owners.

Position encompasses a broad span of MAY Management’s resources to achieve a very high
level of client satisfaction with the financial management of their accounts. Deliver timely and
accurate financial reports to Community Managers, Association Boards and Finance
Committees. May be called upon to meet with Boards to explain statements and budgets.
Common sense, being proactive and working quickly and efficiently are key elements of
success. Failure to provide service levels acceptable to the Association may result in loss of
clients, loss of revenue to MAY Management and may adversely affect the reputation of MAY
Management.
