Overview
The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive human resources support to the organization including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and assigned human resources projects. Ensures compliance with labor laws, company policies and promotes a positive and inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
Serves as a resource for employees and managers; recommends action within HR and/or to employees and managers; provides proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with the goal of future problem prevention.
Collaborates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develops effective recruitment strategies. Conducts full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers primarily for non-exempt hourly and salary positions at designated location(s).
Provides guidance and counsel to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Researches, analyzes and develops recommendations for continuous improvement of HR processes, procedures or programs to deliver innovative solutions to meet needs; assists in the implementation of new or revised policies and procedures.
Delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional HR areas for diverse audiences of employees; develops and conducts training and presentations.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR information system, and analyzes HR reports and metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Partners with HR centers of expertise (COE) (e.g. Payroll and Benefits) to resolve related employee inquiries.
Ensures the confidentiality and security of employee data and records.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.
Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in HR management.
Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Effective communication skills to facilitate work with diverse groups of employees.
Demonstrated skills in employee relations with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making.
Solid computer skills including enterprise HRIS applications.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience Requirements
Minimum three years of related professional human resources experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
