Social Media and Marketing Analyst

Mayvin is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Analyst to monitor, analyze, and report on the organization’s social media presence. This role leverages data-driven insights to inform strategic marketing campaigns, track public perception, and optimize online engagement across various platforms while ensuring full compliance with DOD security protocols and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track key social media metrics (impressions, reach, engagement, sentiment analysis) across all DOD social media platforms

• Monitor social media conversations, identifying trends, key issues, and public sentiment regarding the organization’s initiatives

• Analyze competitor social media strategies to identify areas for improvement and differentiation

• Utilize social listening tools to gather insights from online discussions relevant to the organization

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop social media strategies aligned with broader organizational communication goals

• Assist in the creation of engaging content, including text, images, and videos, while adhering to established brand guidelines

• Manage and optimize social media ad campaigns to maximize reach and engagement

• Track campaign performance and implement data-driven adjustments to enhance effectiveness

• Generate detailed reports on social media performance metrics, trends, and insights to support decision-making

• Present findings to leadership, highlighting areas for improvement and strategic recommendations

• Identify emerging trends and leverage social media for enhanced communication and outreach

• Ensure compliance with DOD security protocols and government regulations related to classified information and privacy

• Monitor social media for potential threats or misinformation, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum SECRET clearance, select positions require TS/SCI eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of strategic, tactical, or media communication experience within the last 10 years

• Direct experience managing government or military social media platforms, with demonstrated expertise in strategy development and analytics

• Experience working with a DOD Public Affairs social media program is highly desirable
