What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Infrastructure Operations Manager (MB2) position at MB2 HR?

The IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will plan, organize, and manage staff and/or consultants to ensure the stable and secure operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will work together with the IT Service Desk Manager, IT Field Manager & the IT Asset Manager to manage end-user customer service and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will also work with the IT Security team to assist in implementing the MB2 Security program.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers and supports of 7x24/365 US operations across multiple IT infrastructure platforms (Data Center, Desktop, Server, Mobile, Data Applications & Cloud).
  • Investigates industry trends and new technologies, providing guidance and recommendations to IT management and own team.
  • Manages, maintains, and optimizes all infrastructure hardware and software, on premise and in the cloud.
  • Develops and delivers services via a standardized IT service catalog.
  • Acts as the technical escalation point for direct reports and collaborates with the other IT managers to determine the right technical solution for issues as well as ongoing technology at the company.
  • Works closely with business leaders to enhance or refine use of technology in their daily operations.
  • Manages and participates in infrastructure incidents, guiding them to successful conclusion.
  • Addresses issues related to access control, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Delivers high availability systems and Disaster Recovery (DR) services.
  • Provides consulting on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) to business areas.
  • Develops standards and processes for meeting compliance requirements for all related regulatory bodies (such as PCI, HIPAA, etc.) impacting IT.
  • Provides consulting to project teams, and perform assessments of security impacts, identifying potential and actual system risks and recommending corrective measures.
  • Performs all activities in compliance with internal and external requirements / standards.
  • Effectively combines staff, contract and outsource providers into one unified support team.
  • Manages staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining a stable and secure infrastructure across the organization to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability and reduce financial loss to the organization.
  • Coaches and manages performance of direct reports, ensuring focus on functional and company objectives.
  • Conducts full performance management cycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • 10 years’ experience managing IT operations, people, or projects preferably in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • 5 Years of hands-on technical experience in IT system administration; preferably in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Professional certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IT architecture and IT governance.
  • Ability to relate business requirements and risks to technical controls, systems, and processes.
  • Aptitude to understand and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to clearly communicate new solutions and controls to management and business leaders.
  • An understanding of IaaS and SaaS based risks and security controls.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of key regulatory guidelines, policies, and audit practices.
  • Mastery of the principles, theories, techniques, practices, and policies and procedures of security and validation standards, and controls.
  • Good understanding of PMS solutions such as Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft and their components.
  • Working knowledge of SOX, HIPAA, PCI, HITECH, and experience in maintaining systems in a controlled state.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills.
