Salary : $27-$30 DOE
McCallum Rock Drilling (MRD) is a rock drilling and blasting contractor based out of Chehalis, WA, that has been in business since 1988. MRD operates in commercial quarries, timberlands and construction sites throughout the Western US.
MRD is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to operate out of our Kitsap Quarry mine site, which is located in Bremerton, Washington. The ideal candidate will have prior construction and / or heavy equipment operating experience (at least a few years of operating). He or she will be responsible for operating large machinery such as loaders, excavators, haul trucks, crushers, and possibly even rock drills on a daily basis. The applicant must live within 30 minutes of Kitsap Quarry and must have a clean driving record.
Minimum responsibilities include :
- Safely follows all MRD policies and procedures and complies with all MSHA regulations
- Safely and productively operating heavy machinery such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders, crushers, and / or rock drills
- Conducting routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime
- Perform general labor duties as required
- Ability to perform daily pre-and-post equipment inspections and document any malfunctions or abnormalities
- Maintain safe and clean equipment, vehicles, and work environment
- Assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
