Heavy Equipment/Excavator Operator
State and federal contractor looking for a Heavy Civil Equipment Operator, preferably with pipe laying experience. Individual needs to be experienced operating excavators, loaders, backhoes and similar. Individual must be a punctual, dependable, self-motivated, team player with a strong awareness of safety. Individual must be willing to cross trades when needed. Typical work environments include all types of marine and industrial worksites such as dry docks, piers, wharfs and waterfront building structures on Naval Facilities and other state and federal sites. The initial need for this position would support ongoing and upcoming projects at NBK Bremerton, NBK Bangor, Indian Island Ammo Wharf and Manchester Fuel Depot.
Position requirements:
- Equipment Operator Certifications
- Valid driver license
- Ability to pass drug screening (at time of hire and randomly while employed)
- Ability to gain federal base access
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to comply with safety standards
- Ability to work in low lit areas
- Ability to work in wet conditions
- Must be willing to perform non-operator duties to assist all construction work
- Must have an open schedule (available early mornings, nights, weekends when project requires)
