Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Quality Assurance Analyst to support a major financial systems modernization initiative. This position involves planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance strategies for a large-scale transition impacting over 1,500 technology assets, including interfaces, databases, and enterprise applications.
The QA Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of systems being transitioned to a modernized statewide accounting and financial management platform. This is a full-time, onsite role in Tallahassee, FL.
Duties
- Plan and implement testing strategies, including regression, functional, system integration, data validation, and performance tests.
- Develop and execute formal test plans and automated test cases.
- Document test results and defects, track quality metrics, and assist in issue resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to design and integrate test strategies.
- Support user acceptance testing and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Research and recommend modern testing tools and methodologies.
- Define and promote quality assurance best practices.
- Provide training and serve as an internal quality advisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
- 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- 3–5 years of automated testing experience using tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing test processes for diverse systems.
- 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- 2–3 years of experience with enterprise architecture.
- Strong understanding of QA metrics, issue-tracking systems, and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in DevOps environments.
- Background in testing ETL jobs and tools like Informatica.
- Knowledge of Snowflake and Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale financial systems transitions.
