What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Assistant position at McCormick Paint?

McCormick Paints is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to ensure that our final product meets industry standards, and provided specifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The duties include, but are not limited to :

Perform testing and quality control activities for all batches
Participate in the development and implementation of department goals, objectives and systems.
Tint paint using computer & current software.
Make additions to batches as needed.
Accurately record and file data & test results.
Check grinds on batches made daily.
Run quality control tests.
Move tanks onto mills.
Pump paint from one tank to another.
Operate forklift in order to retrieve needed raw materials
Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRE QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Must be able to operate a forklift.

Must possess very solid interpersonal skills & the ability to motivate a diverse group of people.

Must be able to effectively communicate and create clear concise reports, with basic math skills.

Must be able to lift 65lbs shoulder height on a consistent basis

Must be able to move 55 gallon drums with cart.

May be required to stand for several hours, working in lab

Ability to stand for long period of time and work in a Distribution Center / warehouse environment
