Job Overview:
McCready Law is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mail Clerk to join our team. The Mail Clerk will be responsible for handling all incoming and outgoing mail for the firm, organizing and filing important legal documents, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administrative tasks related to document management. This position is essential in maintaining efficient workflow and supporting the legal team by ensuring that all documents are accurately processed, filed, and delivered in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and documents to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Prepare and send outgoing mail, ensuring proper packaging and postage requirements are met.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files of legal documents, including client records, case files, and correspondence.
- Assist with scanning, copying, and filing documents to ensure quick and easy retrieval when needed.
- Coordinate with couriers and other delivery services as needed.
- Monitor and restock office supplies related to mailing and document handling.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive documents at all times.
- Support the administrative team with general office duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative or mailroom position is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
