McElroy Manufacturing is looking for a skilled Fixture Fabricator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the production department by manufacturing, fabricating, and assembling high-quality fixtures and tooling. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams, providing technical support and training as needed, and ensuring the smooth operation of the production process.
Essential Functions
- Manufacture, fabricate, and assemble fixtures and tooling required by the production department.
- Generate and maintain documentation related to fixtures and tooling as needed.
- Provide technical assistance and training to production personnel to ensure the proper use and handling of fixtures.
- Ensure efficient, reliable, and safe fixture fabrication, working with planners, programmers, foremen, machine operators, design engineers, and production management.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing existing fixtures, prioritizing tasks as directed by management.
- Use precision measuring equipment to meticulously inspect machined parts, ensuring the quality of each item or assembly before placing it in a production environment.
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel to meet the production schedule and quality standards.
- Provide feedback to management to ensure continuous improvement in processes and fixtures.
Work Experience
- Must possess a high level of CNC/Manual Machining knowledge
- Effective verbal communication skills to clearly convey information.
- Independent motivation and self-discipline to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Balance of workday may require bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Mobility required between multi-building complex covering several acres.
