QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR

Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Reports to: Quality Assurance Audit/Traceability Manager       

Salary Range: $52K – $70K

Objective: Plan, direct, or coordinate quality assurance programs. Formulate quality control policies and control quality of laboratory and production efforts.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Collect and analyze production samples to evaluate quality.
• Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
• Stop production if serious product defects are present.
• Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
• Instruct staff in quality control and analytical procedures.
• Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
• Participate in the development of product specifications.
• Complete weekly schedules for five to fifteen employees.
• Interview and select candidates for assigned shift
• Issue corrective actions to employees documenting performance/nonconformances
• Perform periodic evaluation of employees.
• May be required to fill in for QA Technicians in their absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in a leadership position.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
• Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
• Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
• Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members.
• Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
