Workweek
20 hours per week - Schedule will vary depending on student's class schedule.
Position Summary
Tutor students using nondirective and student-led strategies. Provide students with resources, study strategies, and skills to encourage independent learning. Serve as a social and academic role model to students. This tutor pool consists of the following subject areas: Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Early Childhood Education, German, Math, Nursing Assistant Education, Physics, Spanish, and Writing.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Tutor students using nondirective and student-led strategies
- Provide students with resources, study strategies, and skills to encourage independent learning.
- Serve as a social and academic role model to students
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand up to 4 hours
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products
- Ability to use office equipment (fax, copier, etc)
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background Check
- Must be currently enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above (if first semester student, GPA requirement is waived)
- If student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds
- Must complete background check
- Must compete New Hire Training
- Must complete Onboarding Forms via Softdocs
