The McHenry County Court Administration Twenty Second Judicial Court is seeking a collaborative professional to work full time as a Clinical Supervisor on their Office of the Special Projects team.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Director of Special Projects, the Clinical Supervisor performs work by providing and overseeing clinical employees and clinical services to program participants, ensuring adherence to professional standards. This role is responsible for overseeing the clinical staff within the Office of Special Projects, providing guidance, training, and supervision to clinicians delivering mental health and substance abuse services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise clinical staff providing services including assessment, diagnostic, individual and group therapy, collaboration with treatment providers, and clinical case management.
- Coordinate client referrals for DBT groups.
- Facilitate weekly DBT group sessions for clients.
- Facilitate weekly Supervision Groups for Clinical Staff.
- Engage and support clients with non-compliance histories in behavioral health treatment.
- Consult regularly with probation, court, and community provider staff.
- Collaborate with clients to develop care plans that address treatment needs and functional deficits.
Other key responsibilities:
- Provide regular clinical supervision and professional development support to a team of clinicians, including therapists and counselors.
- Review and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Develop and coordinate ongoing training sessions on evidence-based practices and new treatment modalities.
- Participate in scheduled program and Specialty Court activities such as all Staff meetings and in-service training.
- Ability to assess and provide assistance to adult clients struggling with severe and persistent mental illness, interpersonal conflicts, addiction, and dual disorders (mental/substance abuse).
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Must possess a master’s degree in a mental health related field and be fully licensed in the State of Illinois.
Experience:
- 5 years direct client experience in specialized substance abuse and/or mental health field.
- The ability to use tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Demonstrated current capability and judgment to provide competent supervision to clinical employees and appropriate assessment of programs to ensure fidelity consistent with community standards.
- Extensive knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices.
License/Certification Required:
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Must be able to successfully pass a background screening.
