What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. bridge Painting Inspector position at MCI Momentum Consulting?
A. Relevant experience in bridge painting and Construction and Project Management. Experience in railroad operations, preferred.
B. Association for Material Protection and Performance Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level II Certification) or Bridge Coatings Inspector Level II (BCI II Certification). Valid certifications must be maintained throughout this Task Order.
C. Experience in managing railroad projects.
D. Demonstrated experience in successfully managing on-site project staff.
E. Experience performing steel painting inspection services (e.g., bridges, water tanks, and towers).
F. Experience with abrasive blasting abatement method typically utilized on projects of similar nature.
G. Experience with Railroad engineering practices relevant to bridge painting and construction management services.
H. Working knowledge of New York State Department of Transportation Maintenance and Protection of Traffic standards and specifications.
I. Must have the ability to travel between various jobsites quickly and efficiently.
J. Proficient in the Microsoft Suite and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
K. Must maintain valid MTA Roadway Worker Protection Training for the duration of the Task Order.
A. Review and inspect designs, materials used, and work performed by the Contractor to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.
B. Oversee junior inspectors and provide guidance where needed.
C. Perform review of junior inspectors’ Daily Reports
D. Perform pre-construction surveys of existing conditions.
E. Review Project plans, work plans, and weekend work plans.
F. Provide field coverage of bridge painting activities where needed.
G. Coordinate review of design submittals.
H. Review design submittals for painting products, containments, and scaffolding.
I. Review contract documents and participate in meetings as required with the 3rd-party contractors and user groups/stakeholders.
J. Coordinate with other consultants and C&D personnel to ensure that all comments from the design consultant and LIRR are incorporated into the approved Project designs and shop drawings.
K. Coordinate Roadway Worker Protection Training for all contractors’ employees that will be on-site.
L. Coordinate between contractors and LIRR.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
