Pay
Salary grade 11 or 14
$92,600 - $135,300 / year, depending on experience and qualifications

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Hours may vary based on business need outside of the above timeframe

Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for corporate-wide security at McKee Foods and identifies, analyzes and manages security risk. This individual develops and implements management and/or contingency plans and other appropriate methods of eliminating, reducing or controlling risk.

  • Develops, proposes and implements overall (corporate-wide) security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets
  • Leads assessment of various technologies, gains buy-in and leads implementation of security-related projects
  • Conducts regular assessments, audits, inspections, tabletop exercises and real-life scenarios to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps at all locations
  • Implements employee training and operational plans for security-related crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events
  • Manages and maintains systems, alarms, and other physical security measures
  • Delivers educational programs and communications on security policies and topics, including workplace violence
  • Participates in local, state, provincial, or federal working or advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with local law enforcement agencies
  • Leads and directs significant investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies at all locations
  • Provides security for company property, employees, and executives Participates in the Food Protection program and acts as a security consultant
  • Oversees contract security services for all locations
  • Runs the operations center when a security-related crisis occurs
  • Participates in the local fire brigade through a leadership position
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Four year college degree and at least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (2 years of experience = 1 year of education
  • Standing/Walking for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to obtain Certified Protection Professional and Armed Security Officer License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Protection Professional and Armed Security Officer License
  • Prior experience in multi-site corporate security
  • Experience creating meeting materials and making presentations to leadership teams
  • Proven success in project management and new technology implementations
