McKendree University, located in Lebanon, IL, invites applicants for the position of non-tenure track Instructor for the School of Education, Superintendent and Principal Preparation programs. This is an on-campus, full-time position and is eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package.
The instructor will be required to teach a myriad of courses and be able to supervise practicums and internships. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of leadership methodologies, and a strong background as a K-12 and / or district leader.
Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver engaging curriculum fin various subject areas, including but not limited to principal preparation, superintendent preparation, research methodology, assessment, and school law.
- Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, group activities, and hands-on teaching experiences to develop students' leadership skills.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and effective leadership strategies.
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to aspiring leaders to enhance their skills.
- Stay current with best practices in K-12 education and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Supervise students in the field during practicums and internships.
Qualifications :
FLSA Category : Exempt
Salary Range : $40,260.00 - $50,000.00 / Annually
Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions and department budget.
